In addition to his time working on independent projects, Casey is also available for hire on a consulting basis. He places a particular emphasis on work with start-ups and small businesses, he also has experience working in larger corporate and higher education environments.
In August 2013, Casey launched PointsAway, a website that shares the secrets of free flights and hotel stays by earning and using frequent flyer miles and hotel loyalty points. The site invites readers to submit itineraries for their dream trips and provides individually tailored suggestions and strategies for turning those dreams into reality.
In April 2014, Casey launched a PointsAway Book, first released exclusively on iBooks. The book quickly vaulted up the sales charts to become the #2 Travel Book on iTunes and gained recognition with online media focused on travel and technology as well as with NBC and ABC affiliates in the Southeast thanks to a feature aired by Jacksonville’s First Coast News.
Shortly after its launch on iBooks, a PDF version of the book was made available; Kindle editions are presently under development for release in the near future.
Berkshire Hathaway Home Services – Interactive iPad Brochure
In Spring 2014, Casey worked with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services to create an interactive, iPad-based marketing proposal for use by its agents in communicating the company’s value to prospective home sellers.
Integrating video, slideshows and other features into a proposal previously restrained to paper, the new tablet-based version of the marketing proposal allows the company to convey its forward-looking stance and comfort with emerging technology to its customers.
Gibraltar Title Services – Closing Cost Calculators
In late 2013 and early 2014, Casey worked with Gibraltar Title Services to create highly sophisticated closing cost estimate calculators, useful to home buyers and sellers as well as agents and others involved in residential real estate transactions.
Pharm-EZ is a breakthrough pharmacy concept focused on ophthalmology needs. Casey worked alongside its founder to build the company from the ground up and implemented EZ-Kit, the company’s flagship product line. Casey’s work with the company culminated in becoming its Chief Operating Officer, a position he held until departing following the company’s acquisition in October 2013.

Earlier in 2013, Casey co-founded The Industry, a groundbreaking publication for iPad and Kindle focused on the business of the game industry, featuring an ad-free presentation of long-form content from some of the industry’s best authors. He also launched PowerUp Poker, a fresh twist on Texas Hold ‘Em, to acclaim by game enthusiasts worldwide.
In 2003, Casey became Advanced Media Network‘s Editorial Content Director. In that role, Casey hired, coached, edited and served as publisher for a worldwide group of feature columnists focused on the business of interactive entertainment.
University of North Florida
As Student Director of the University of North Florida’s Honors Program, Casey developed a series of events throughout the year designed to promote the program’s values and foster a sense of community within the organization. Along with serving on the University’s reaccreditation committee, Casey also designed and coordinated the program’s weeklong orientation program for freshmen, expanding the event from four to five days while logistical expenses by 35% and coming in under budget.
In 2008, Casey served as IT/Telecom Analyst and Asian Markets Economist for Osprey Financial Group, a student-operated fund responsible for managing a roughly $800,000 portion of the University of North Florida’s endowment. This led him to join Deutsche Bank’s vanguard staff at its new offices in Jacksonville, which now employ roughly 1,000 people.
Following his time with DB, Casey attended the Crummer School of Business at Rollins College on a full scholarship in order to earn his Master of Business Administration.
While his graduate studies continued, Casey co-founded MegatonApps, a boutique design and development studio focused on developing applications for iPhone and iPad.
The company was among the first developers to release an app for iPad; Multitaskers topped its category charts in several countries upon release. Each app released by the company received designation by Apple as New and Noteworthy. The company also designed in-depth proposals for the world’s leading theme park brand, an NFL team, prominent casino and hospitality companies, municipal governments and more.
Made in Duval
Casey co-founded Made In Duval in 2011 to pursue the development of Trubador – a hands-free iPad case featured by Time, Wired, NBC and many others. The company also designed and produced SideShow, a dock for iPhone 5 useful in both portrait and landscape orientations. Its culminating effort was in collaborating with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars on a product now produced and sold in-stadium by the team.
Casey has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Investment Finance from the University of North Florida, where he graduated with honors, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from the Crummer School of Business at Rollins College.
